Terrestrial Holiness

I have never been much of a blogger. In fact, when I was living overseas I had to FORCE myself to blog in order to appease my friends and family. It is not something that came naturally to me, it is not something that I am particularly passionate about, and I am honestly not a very good writer.

However, I am a verbal thinker. In order to understand how I really feel about something, I need to get that idea out there. Talk about it, think about it, argue about it, chew on it. My hope is that by starting this blog I can start chewing on some things that I am thinking about and things that I ought to be thinking about.

I am a youth pastor and musician, but one of my passions over the past couple years has been HOLINESS. I desire Holiness in my life so that Christ's love and will may be seen clearly in my life. I desire Holiness for the young people of my church and this generation, because I believe that only through Holiness will the Church be healed and become more of what Christ intended for it to be. Only through Holiness will relationships mend. Only through Holiness will the young politicians of the world promote Good and Positive change to the world. Only through Holiness will the Church be the Hope of the masses.

I am interested in "Terrestrial Holiness". This is a term I have just coined right now. It's not altogether clever or mind-blowing, but it does make my point: I want to talk about and figure out what it looks like to live a holy life here on earth. In my upcoming posts I will post about:

1. The Holiness Movement in the Church and what those churches look like today
2. Biblical Principles of Holiness
3. What practical Holiness looks like on our planet, in our country
4. I will link to songs, videos, articles, on Holiness
5. Talk about issues in our world and country that need to be addressed by those seeking practical, terrestrial Holiness.

If anyone happens to stumble across this blog, feel free to comment.
